Back in July on her birthday, Aleali May confirmed a release date for her upcoming Air Jordan 14 sneaker. Now, official images of the shoe and the accompanying apparel are here.
Tapping into her Black and Filipina roots, the Aleali May x Jordan “Fortune” apparel collection serves as a homage to May’s identity, taking fans back to where she’s from and where things all started. The collection includes a $45 short sleeve t-shirt, $110 crew shorts, $120 crew shirt, $45 cropped tank top, and $55 biker short. The collection’s garments continues the Jordan Brand’s efforts at offering functionality-meets-style mixed with personal style notes by stylist Aleali May.
The Jordan 14 sneaker is reimagined by the creative as many fresh takes comprise the “Fortune” 14s. With a Light Sand upper made of hairy suede, the shoe is then presented with noteworthy elements such as an outsole consisting of gold and green-blue jade, which actually is representative of a bracelet given to May by her grandmother. May’s signature graces the sockliner as well as the lid to the shoe’s box. While the shoe receives a special update by Aleali May, classic design details of the Jordan 14 remain, maintain the shoe’s iconic heritage.
The Aleali May x Jordan “Fortune” apparel and Jordan 14 sneakers are set to release on Thursday, August 19th. The Jordan 14 “Fortune” will be released in women’s sizing for $190.
