During the 2017 acquisition by Kate Spade, Coach began to shift its ambitions, transitioning from a brand of American classics to becoming everyone’s favorite handbag brand again with its “modern luxury” initiative. As a part of this new approach, Coach announced a variety of artists and celebrities who would be joining the Coach family essentially as the brand’s ambassadors. The roster includes a few of your faves like Jennifer Lopez, Megan Thee Stallion, Kōki, and Michael B. Jordan. The luxury brand has also started to partner with brands like Disney for exclusive collaborations, taping into one of the most popular and profitable marketing strategies for present-day fashion brands.
After teaming up last February, Coach will be linking with streetwear brand BAPE again for a new collection and campaign led by a few of its brand ambassadors.

The latest Coach x BAPE collection follows a more subtle color palette of denim blues and baby pinks as compared to the previous collection of vivid multicolored pieces. Fusing Coach’s luxury craftsmanship with BAPE’s streetwear edge, the upcoming drop merges BAPE’s signature star and APE HEAD logo with Coach’s dinosaur mascot Rexy for a bold, high-quality capsule of apparel and accessories. Pieces from the collection include t-shirts, hats, pullover hoodies, jackets, shorts, slide sandals, face masks, wallets, and handbags. There is also a BAPE STA sneaker which proudly stand outs baring a mixture of denim and brown leather as well as BAPE and Coach’s logos.
Rapper Megan Thee Stallion and her famous French bulldog, Frenchie 4oe, take lead as the stars of the campaign. Frenchie 4oe gives fans an adorable style moment as he poses with the hot girl-mom in a denim blue monogram harness. Rapper Cordae and model Kōki are also featured in the campaign.
The new Coach x BAPE collection is set to release on Saturday, July 24th with pieces retailing between $95 to $450 at select Coach stores and on coach.com.
