The Jordan Brand recently rolled out visuals for their women’s NYC Apparel Capsule collection with an empowering twist from some NY-based creatives. Photographed by Raven B. Varona, the campaign features Raven along with three other creative women including Kia Marie, Germany Lancaster, and Alissa Nevita.
Kia Marie is stylist and content creator known for combining sustainability and sneakers to formulate looks. Germany Lancaster is an art director, model and the founder of the Black Girl Beach Day which is a beach day in New Jersey that promotes sisterhood and solidarity amongst Black women. Alissa Nevita is a storyteller and sportswear marketing expert who has worked with brands such as Packer and Flight Club. Lastly, Raven B. Varona is the visionary behind the lenses who is known for capturing campaigns and moments made by some of the biggest figures in entertainment and fashion.
Each woman rocked pieces from the upcoming NYC Capsule which helped to hone their love for the city that gets their creativity going. In colors such as muted navy and a lively pink, the color palette of this collection is meant to capture the “liveliness” of the city at different times of the day. The collection includes a dress, a long-sleeve top, a windbreaker, a full-zip fleece hoody, a short-sleeve fleece top, a short, a flight suit and a utility pant. Each piece offers the wearer with the options of versatility, offering an oversized or more figure-hugging look with cinching at the waist.
According to Nike, the collection will be releasing throughout August starting on August 15 throughout Greater China, August 20 in North America, and August 24 globally. You can find it on nike.com!
