New York native and designer Sandy Liang is known for channeling that super cool downtown girl from the nineties while tapping into her own personal experiences through the use of whimsical prints and playful fabrics. Now, she is bringing that aesthetic to her latest collaboration with Vans and we’re so here for it.
Having grown up in the Lower East Side, Sandy Liang draws inspiration from her childhood for her upcoming collaboration with Vans. The apparel and footwear collection speaks to the glory of the nineties with the use of velvet, animal print, tie-dye, plaid, and chain-detailing. Nineties fashion is frequently referenced in fashion today as a major source of inspo for designers. This decade of fashion was all about being chic yet edgy and that is something that both Sandy Liang and Vans encompasses, so this collaboration was a match made in heaven (90s heaven, that is).
