Pyschotherapist and Sneaker Head, Liz Beecroft, Has Designed a Nike React Sneaker That Advocates for Mental Health Awareness

1 in 5 Americans live and battle with a mental health condition. Though we speak for the betterment of those living with mental health issues, the problem still heavily exists. Elizabeth “Liz” Beecroft is a young psychotherapist who encourages people to share their experiences and stories about their mental battles in order to bring more awareness. She is also a popular sneaker head on Instagram with a following of 13.9k followers. She combined her love for sneakers and advocacy for mental health awareness and created a sneaker that sold out within hours of its release: the Nike Air Max 270 React “In My Feels” sneakers.

The “In My Feels” React sneakers shows that it is okay to be in your feelings. The shoe is designed with neon green as green is the color associated with mental health awareness. The white and neon green sneaker is complete with Nike React’s lightweight and breathable nature along with Max Air unit for bounce.

Liz herself went through mental health battles which started at a young age. She overcame them by tapping into her creative side with fashion, sneakers, and basketball along with taking a social media hiatus, limiting her screen time, and overall making time for the things that actually made her happy.

The sneaker went live on Monday at 8am and sold out within the same day. In addition, a portion of the proceeds are going to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention. While we are sad there won’t be a restock, we hope to see more sneakers from Liz Beecroft in the future.
