Official images of the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 in “Baroque Brown” and “Saturn Gold” are here along with confirmed release information.
It is no denying the details of the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 which clearly take cues from Nike’s ACG Pocket Knife. From the drawstring Gillie laces with the straps to the custom nubuck and mesh combination on the upper, the shoe manages to combine ACG themes with elements of the Air Max 1 for a uniform design that is truly lit, as La Flame might say. Not to mention, the rapper’s touch is also felt as Cactus Jack graces one of the insoles as well the heel as an embroidered flag and the tongue as a rubber emblem. CACT.US CORP branding takes over the outsole with Scott’s signature flipped Swoosh famously resting on the upper.
The sneaker is presented in neutral colorways known as “Baroque Brown” and “Saturn Gold”. While Baroque Brown consists of a combination of earthy tones, Saturn Gold takes on a more monochromatic approach, giving you the ultimatum of whether to go with something concrete versus abstract (or you can have both).
With the rapper’s third annual Astroworld festival underway this week, the Travis Scott x Air Max 1 collaboration will be going out to select festival attendees as SNKRS provides exclusive pass reservations for pickup at the venue’s SPACE Village. The lit festivities don’t stop there as it was also revealed the collaboration would receive a wider release on Thursday, December 16th through Nike SNKRS and select retailers. Retail is $160.
