When gearing up for their 30th anniversary, Union LA previewed brand partnerships for the momentous celebration which listed the Jordan brand as a confirmed collaborator. Back in May, Union LA revealed the photos for a campaign known as “Tent & Trail” which unveiled the brand’s two new colorways for their Air Jordan 4 sneaker. Now, latest collaboration between Union LA and Jordan has official images and a release that aims at being more “democratic” for customers.

With the “Tent & Trail” capsule collection, Union LA tapped into the hiking and outdoors lifestyle which was became a popular moment for streetwear in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Streetwear borrowed select outdoor styles and added its own flare to it. Pieces like puffer jackets and hiking boots essentially became streetwear staples.
Tapping into the color palette of the great outdoors and landscapes such as mountains and hiking trails, the latest collaboration from Union LA simply serves as updated colorways to their reimagined Air Jordan 4’s released last year. The brand made use of the same fabrics and overall design but is offering the Jordan 4 in two new colorways known as “Taupe Haze” and “Desert Moss”. Like the last release, Union LA will be offering both colorways followed by a second chance at just one colorway for general release at select retailers. In this case, the “Taupe Haze” will serve as the Union-exclusive while the “Desert Moss” will become widely available.
With many conversations circulating in the sneaker world concerning bots and unfair drops, Union LA decided to release the sneakers through raffle only. On June 20th and 21st, the brand will be holding an in-store raffle at their LA store for LA County residents only. On June 20th, the online raffle will become available to the general public from 9AM to 11AM PST (12PM to 2PM EST). No SNKRS release date has been announced yet.
