Just last week, we witnessed NYFW for Fall/Winter 2020 come to an end with hints at upcoming brand collaborations. One collaboration that we didn’t know we needed until now was that of Chromat and Reebok. For FW20, Chromat held a presentation instead of runway show where models held lively “workout sessions” in their even more lively activewear. Models were breaking a sweat in Chromat’s upcoming activewear collection which featured bright colors, electric patterns, and…Instapump sneakers? Yes, our eyes immediately recognized the Instapump silhouette which hinted at the brands’ combining forces.
According to Chromat, there are three color combinations set to release later this year for Chromat and Reebok’s Instapump sneaker: Miami Red, Chromat Blue, and Turf Teal. There was also a striped Instapump sneaker spotted at the presentation, but there was no confirmation on whether those would be sold in the Fall. The sneaker remains true to Chromat’s ideals of gender fluidity with unisex graphics and ombre color detailing to symbolize the blurring lines of gender.
We can expect this sneaker to release in Fall 2020 with more updates as it gets closer to that time.
