The First Women’s Air Jordan Sneaker Is Returning in January

Nike already seems to have 2020 on lock as its current roster of sneakers for the new year which includes some of the most highly anticipated drops specifically from its Jordan brand. Recently, Nike announced the re-release its first-ever Women’s Air Jordan sneaker in January 2020 to further add to the excitement of its new year of sneaker releases.

The OG Women’s Air Jordan was released in 1998 to shows its appreciation for the WNBA and its women who had game like Sheryl Swoopes and Lisa Leslie. Now, the sneaker is getting its FIRST EVER public re-issue on January 16th, 2020. I was born in 1998, so this sneaker has never had been re-released in over 21 years. This is major considering how Nike and the Jordan brand always dips into its past releases and retro sneakers. The sneaker draws cues from the “He Got Game” sneakers, which is set release in a “reversed” color way a week before the OG Women’s 13s, simply with the color choice and features an embroidered “W” on the heel as opposed to the the metallic detail of the original sneaker.

Stay tuned for updates.

Update: The sneaker will be available for $140 at SNKRS, Finishline, and Eastbay.
