Dua Lipa is the face of the latest PUMA campaign where she sports the brand’s new black suede platform Mayze sneaker. Lipa signed a multi-year deal with PUMA in November of 2020 becoming a brand ambassador for women’s business. Now, she is the face for their newest Mayze sneaker which serves as her very first campaign with the PUMA brand.

Dua Lipa’s fashion and sound center around the late 70s and early 80s inspired by glitz and glamour of Studio 54. Her style serves as the perfect compliment to PUMA’s aesthetic as the shoe became a cultural icon in the 70s and 80s.
PUMA was designed to be more durable than any other sneaker on the market. In 1968, the PUMA Suede became a historically popular sneaker in Black culture during the summer games in Mexico City. Additionally, PUMA became a staple in rap culture and break dancing in the 1980s. Serving as a fashionable shoe in the New York streets, it was hard to miss the sneaker’s signature thick laces and flexible sole.
Giving us major Fenty x Puma vibes, Dua Lipa modeled the PUMA “Mayze” which features a raised platform in both a black and white colorway. Through Nylon, Lipa expressed her excitement for her first official sneaker campaign with PUMA, “I’m excited to begin my journey with my PUMA family, and I am so happy to share some of the first images from my very first solo campaign with the brand.”

While the shoe has dropped overseas, the PUMA Mayze will release on April 16th for the US for $90 on PUMA’s official website.
