Everyone knows that whatever Travis Scott creates, it turns into gold. Following rumors and leaked photos of the sneaker, Scott’s second Air Jordan VI arrives this Friday and fans are beyond excited for the Houston native’s latest sneaker collaboration.
The rapper has successfully tackled various Nike and Jordan silhouettes through their ongoing “Cactus Jack” partnership. Models have included the Air Force 1, Air Max 270, Air Jordan I, Air Jordan IV, Air Jordan VI and Dunk Low which all resulted in lightning sellouts along with major celebrity recognition. His sneakers have been seen on celebrities like Teyana Taylor, Bella Hadid, and Kylie Jenner.
This isn’t the designer’s first rodeo with the Air Jordan VI model either. In fact, the “British Khaki” colorway comes just two years after the “Olive” Jordan VI which dropped in 2019. It can now be found on resale sites starting at $600. Additionally, the upcoming Jordan VI clearly takes notes from the previous “Olive” colorway mimicking elements such as the unique small pocket detail and suede upper complete with the Cactus Jack logo. New features include the tan and infrared color palette along with an additional zip pocket and a smiley face graphic on the medial midsole.
The “British Khaki” Air Jordan VI will also be joined by apparel influenced by Travis Scott’s home state of Texas and its oil fields. The apparel pieces feature Scott’s personal style touch of utilitarian design which he can be seen wearing frequently when it comes to his street style. The utility-like nature of the clothing is also meant to convey the hard work carried out by workers of the oil fields. Garments include a vest, canvas pant, pool shorts, t shirt, and hoodie ranging rom $50 to $150.
The Travis Scott x Air Jordan VI “British Khaki” sneaker and apparel collection arrives this Friday, April 30th through draws on SNKRS and select retailers. The sneaker is set to retail at $250 in men’s sizing, little kids and toddler will be offered as well. This release date happens to be the music artist’s birthday which makes for a dope birthday celebration.
