Nike Pays Homage to Its First Women’s Running Shoe With the Air Max Verona Sneaker

Nike continues its push for more female-focused selections with the news of a women’s exclusive Air Max shoe coming this weekend. Nike’s first Air Max shoe for women was the Air Verona which dropped in 1992. Now, the brand is commemorating their first women’s running shoe with the debut of the Air Max Verona sneaker.

The Air Max Verona sneaker appears in two color ways (for now): neon green/pink/black/cream and purple/black design. Drawing inspiration from the Air Max 90, the sneaker presents itself on an elevated heel. Both color combinations feature different design techniques as the pink shoe bares an apparent stitched Swoosh while the purple color way features a leather Swoosh.

The sneaker is set to drop in these colors on February 15th globally. According to Nike, more colors will be released on March 5th. However, UNKNWN is getting an exclusive drop on Saturday, February 1st.
